And Ten Hag reportedly held talks with United on Monday as the Dutchman became the instant frontrunner to take the role.But Pochettino remains his primary competitor, and the PSG boss is expected to leave his current role this summer.
And recent events may have given United a major bargaining tool as they identify the right man for the job.With both Ten Hag and Pochettino currently employed by their respected clubs, United will have to pay some sort of compensation if they are to appoint either boss.
But the Argentine is expected to be sacked by PSG after another unsuccessful Champions League run, but at a price.According to The Telegraph, if Pochettino was to be sacked by PSG, his staff would be entitled to a compensation package of between £15million and £20m as there are 15 months left on his deal.
