Andrew William McPherson has admitted failing to properly care for seven-year-old German Shepherd Zara and 16-year-old Bobo at his home in Airdrie.The 39-year-old also failed to seek veterinary treatment for the dogs who were both found with their hip and rib bones jutting out.
Horrified Scottish SPCA inspectors discovered that the dogs both had very overgrown nails which were causing them great discomfort.
The dog-owner had been to the animal charity since 2018 and had been given advice on how to properly care for his animals. But he failed to do so and found himself in court where he was handed the ban and a £200 fine.
