Darts fans are again facing questions after Joe Cullen was forced to pull out of throwing a crucial dart due to being distracted. The Masters champion was throwing to win an important leg to keep him in his Premier League Night Three quarter-final tie with Michael van Gerwen. But as he aimed to throw his second dart at double nine, Cullen dropped his arm and stared furiously to the right-hand side of the stage. He muttered to himself before completing his visit - and failing to hit the all-important check-out.Van Gerwen went on to win the match 6-3 and seal a semi-final tie with Gerwyn Price. After MVG plundered double four for the match, Cullen again turned to the right-hand side of the stage but held in his frustration. He exchanged a handshake with Van Gerwen and the Englishman muttered a few words into the ear of his opponent. It is not clear what forced Cullen to turn around, though there is no indication that Van Gerwen did anything wrong.Cullen will also be frustrated with the level of his performance, where he could only muster up an average of 91.88.HAVE YOUR SAY!
