Four men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was allegedly hacked to death with a machete in broad daylight in Brighton.
Police were scrambled to Whitehawk Road in the seaside town at around 2.30pm yesterday, where a man – said to be in his 20s – was brutally attacked.
One passer-by said they had seen a man come out of a house and “it looked like he got whacked over the head”. Reports claim he had been stabbed with a machete, although this has not been confirmed.
The victim was then taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital and was pronounced dead just a few hours later. All four suspects remained in police custody as of this morning.
