Droylsden. A gang of eight men attacked the 16-year-old victim with the knife while he cowered in a bin shed outside Brierfield House, a block of flats on Lancaster Road.He was taken to hospital and underwent plastic surgery to his hands.

The teenager has since been discharged, but has been left 'traumatised' is unable to use his hands while he recovers, his mum told the M.E.N.

After the attack, the men then chased a group of people before firing a gun, police said.There were no reports of injuries relating to the firearms discharge.No arrests have taken place following the terrifying attack which took place on Saturday, July 11, at around 9.40pm.Detectives are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.The gang are believed.
