Officers discovered the drugs after raiding a house on Stretford Road just after 3.25pm yesterday (Wednesday). They were found wrapped up into individual packages and weighed around 21kg altogether, police said.
A 27-year-old man was arrested at the house on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A drugs. He remains in custody for questioning today (Thursday).
Officers from GMP's City of Manchester Operation Challenger and Xcalibre Task Force also seized a 'significant quantity' of cash at the house.
