Man accused of murdering dad in Ancoats appears in court

A man accused of the murder of Neri Morse in Ancoats has appeared in court. Rushaun Brown, 23, appeared in the dock at Manchester Magistrates' Court this morning (April 25).

Mr Brown, of Higher Ardwick, Ardwick, is charged with the murder of Neri Morse. He is also charged with an offence of section 18 grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon, namely a knife, in a public place.

Dad-of-one Neri, 24, died following an incident on Pollard Street, just outside the city centre, around 6.30pm on Wednesday (April 20) evening.

During today’s hearing Mr Brown spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
