Lorraine viewers have taken to social media to complain about a recent edition of the ITV morning programme.Presenter Lorraine Kelly was back on our screens on Monday (March 6) to host her self-titled talk show.
She chatted to Emmerdale stars Rebecca Sarker and Tony Audenshaw, who play Manpreet Sharma and Bob Hope in the soap, to discuss the show's recent schedule change.However, before she introduced the soap stars to viewers at home, Lorraine gave viewers a sneak peek into what was coming up by pretending to answer her phone to Emmerdale villain Meena Jutla from prison.Lorraine's performance failed to impress viewers with some taking to Twitter to moan about the "cheesy" segment.Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: " Oh Lorraine ….please stop with the cringey Emmerdale “jokes” #Lorraine "Another added: "OMG @lorraine is soooooooooo cheesy with all the #emmerdale advertising."A third person posted: "Wow…..feel the cringe #Lorraine."While a fourth social media user said: "Hope #Lorraine comes back on with her tail between her legs after that performance"For years Emmerdale has aired on ITV weeknights at 7pm and Coronation Street has aired Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.On Mondays and Wednesdays, ITV would air two Coronation Street episodes at 7.30pm and 8.30pm and on Fridays, the soap would usually be on at 7.30pm for an hour.However, the schedule has changed from March 7.The evening news programme will be extended to an hour, airing from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, with ITV confirming more focus on reporting outside of London.Emmerdale will move to the 7.30pm slot every weeknight and Coronation Street will move to hour-long episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm.Rival soap EastEnders will air on BBC One from Monday to.
