Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher was due to leave Anfield on loan in the summer but an injury to Alisson scuppered a move.Kelleher is Liverpool’s third-choice goalkeeper behind the Brazilian and former West Ham ace Adrian.Kelleher occasionally features in cup ties though is unlikely to usurp either of the other two when it comes to Premier League matches.It means Kelleher has featured in just one senior game this season, though an earlier injury to Alisson meant he was needed on the bench.And Ireland boss Stephen Kenny has opened up on how that meant the shot-stopper did not get a summer move.Kenny said: “We really need Caoimhin Kelleher to get matches under his belt as we feel he is ready to play for us“He was supposed to go on loan.
