Thiago Alcantara would appear to be no closer to returning to the Liverpool team after Jurgen Klopp failed to provide an update on his fitness ahead of Saturday's trip to Brighton.
The Spanish international midfielder has still only played 135 minutes for the Reds since his much-celebrated transfer from Bayern Munich in the summer, playing in the second half of the 2-0 win at Chelsea and for the full 90 minutes of the 2-2 Merseyside derby draw with Everton.
In between those matches the 29-year-old tested positive for Covid-19, and then at the end of the Everton game he was caught by a studs-up challenge from Richarlison for which the Brazilian was set off.
