JEFF Brazier has revealed his heartache at never meeting his dad who died as captain of The Marchioness in a horrific tragedy in 1989.
The 41-year-old said he was denied a relationship with his biological father Stephen Faldo because of "s*** luck" and a "cruel fate".
Captain Stephen Faldo was in charge of the ship of party-goers when it sank after a crash on the River Thames with the Bowbelle in the early hours of the morning.
A total of 51 people died in the accident between Cannon Street railway bridge and Southwark Bridge. Stephen had worked on the Thames since he was 17 years old and became captain of the Marchioness in 1987 - but just two years later he was dead at the age of 29.
