Jay-Z has applied for an online sports betting license from the New York Gaming Commission.The rapper, 51, is collaborating with mogul Michael Rubin on the project called Fanatics Sportsbook, which also involves the gaming software company Kambi, insiders told TMZ on Monday.The Brooklyn native and Rubin are among a lot of high-powered gaming orgs to submit applications, as BetMGM, Caesars Sportsbook, DraftKings, FanDuel and WynnBET have all done so as well, with sources telling the outlet that at least two will be approved by state officials.
