Hampden. SFA chief executive Ian Maxwell revealed the four Scottish Cup semi-finalists will lose out on up to £3 million if matches are played behind closed doors.
The SFA will also take a hit of £3 million if spectators are ordered to stay away from the four Scotland internationals scheduled for the national stadium before the end of the year.
Maxwell is desperately trying to persuade the Scottish government to make the Nations League opener with Israel in September a test event in front of fans.
He hopes it will convince Holyrood bosses to open the doors to more spectators for the do-or-die Euro Championship play off the following month, also against the Israelis.
