My Three Sons star Dawn Lyn is 'breathing on her own and opening her eyes' after surgery to remove a brain tumor left her in a coma, reports TMZ. The former child star - now 59 - shot to fame aged six as Dorothy 'Dodie' Harper-Douglas on the CBS sitcom's last three seasons, a role she played from 1969-1972. Last month it was revealed on social media by her former co-stars that Dawn was fighting for her life - with  Tina Cole (who played Katie Miller-Douglas) saying the star is now showing the first signs of recovery.
