Gemma Clare Collins (born 31 January 1981) is an English television personality and businesswoman. In 2011, she began appearing on the ITVBe reality series The Only Way Is Essex, and following further appearances on television, she became a contestant on the seventeenth series of Celebrity Big Brother and the eleventh series of Dancing on Ice.
In August 2019, she began starring in her own reality series, Gemma Collins: Diva Forever.
GEMMA Collins has told how she feared her history of self-harming would make her "unfit" to have children. The 41-year-old will take an emotional look into her past to raise awareness of self-harm in her upcoming Channel 4 documentary, Gemma Collins: Self-Harm & Me.
Speaking to new! Magazine, the former Towie star said that since making the one-off she feels she's been given "the green light" to start a family with her fiancé Rami Hawash.
Gemma said: "I always put off having children because I was scared I’d start self-harming again and wouldn’t be a fit mother. "Yes, I can provide financial stability and a lot of love, but what if it came back? "To get the reassurance from the professionals that it wouldn’t is like the full green light." Last year, Gemma's fans were left in tears as the brave star opened up about her self-harm battle on Piers Morgan's Life Stories.
The TV star spoke frankly about her mental health struggle on the show, admitting that she can still see scars on her arms now.
