Ayrshire residents get hands dirty in bid to clean up the streets

Irvine Valley residents have been getting their hands dirty in a bid to clean up the streets. Councillor Sally Cogley has praised those helping out with litter-picking efforts in Galston recently, which is expected to be the first of many.

Ms Cogley told Ayrshire Live: "Volunteers from Galston were out litter-picking recently, this was the first of the regular litter picks in the Irvine Valley. "Despite very challenging weather, the group cleared litter from the worst affected areas which are the main roads in and out of the town.
