A study by cleaning experts Vacuum Wars analysed the average energy usage of common household appliances against October's increased energy price cap to reveal which ones are driving up our energy bills – and the results might shock you.To help save you some cash this autumn/winter, we've listed the most expensive appliances and some simple changes you can make.

According to Anglian Water, the average Brit spends about eight minutes in the shower, meaning a daily shower would rack up a yearly bill of £104.33 for just one person.
