3 Key Stars Confirmed to Return for 'Scary Movie' Reboot

Three keys stars involved with the Scary Movie franchise have signed on to return for the previously announced reboot.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that a new movie was in the works. It will be the first since Scary Movie 5 premiered in 2013.

On Tuesday (October 29), we learned that three stars who played a central role in the earliest movies were going to work on the new project. Keep reading to find out more… According to reporting by The Hollywood Reporter, brothers Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans are all involved with the new project.

They are working on the script together and will serve as producers. Marlon and Shawn starred in and wrote for the first two movies, which Keenen wrote and directed. “We are thrilled to reunite Scary Movie with the Wayans brothers, the brilliant creators behind the beloved franchise,” Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman said in a statement shared with the outlet. “The timing is perfect to bring back the series to the big screen and we’re lucky to have Keenen, Marlon and Shawn’s unique comedic vision bringing it to audiences around the world.” The brothers issued a statement of their own, saying, “We couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the new Scary Movie and work with each other again.
