Inhaler have shared a new single called ‘Billy (Yeah Yeah Yeah)’ – you can listen to it below.The track serves as the final preview of the Dublin band’s third album ‘Open Wide’, which is due for release tomorrow (February 7) via Polydor (pre-order/pre-save here).“Billy, his eyes are like headlights/ Can’t see in the window/ Of his fast car/ She’s the stoplight/ Not turning red or green/ She’s gold and she’s honest/ Don’t justify the reason/ Or lie for a promise,” sings frontman Elijah Hewson in the groovy, ’80s-tinged track.Per a press release, the infectious and upbeat song “further showcases a band thrillingly coming into their own and taking their sound in audacious new directions”.‘Billy (Yeah Yeah Yeah)’ is accompanied by a lo-fi, VHS-style official lyric video. Tune in here:Inhaler’s latest offering follows the recent singles ‘Your House’, ‘Open Wide’ and ‘A Question Of You’.Speaking to NME last October, bassist Robert Keating explained how the group had entered new territory on their third record.He said: “While working with Tom Hull [Kid Harpoon], our producer for this album, we began thinking, ‘How can we make this a little different?’, which led us to try out different stuff and we eventually ended up doing the intro keyboard thing one day [on ‘Your House’], which re-informed the song and made us view it in a new way.“He also had the idea of trying to get the gospel singers in and that was just one of the songs where it worked really well.”Keating continued: “We’ve definitely gotten better at writing songs.

Inhaler have rescheduled their upcoming Brixton Academy show in London and shared a new video for ‘If You’re Gonna Break My Heart’.After touring the UK last month, the Dublin band – who released second album ‘Cuts & Bruises’ this year – were set to play Brixton in May along with a Manchester gig.Now, the band will instead play an intimate gig at the Electric Ballroom on May 20 (the Manchester gig the previous night will still go ahead as planned), before playing Brixton on November 4.Also in 2023, the band are confirmed to support Arctic Monkeys on their upcoming 2023 European tour.
