More than a dozen Golden Retrievers have been saved from almost-certain slaughter by kind-hearted volunteers.Pups have been given a second chance at life after volunteers raised more than £38,700 to bring them to safety.Now the furry playmates will be given a new home just days before Christmas.And in heartwarming footage, the dogs meet their new families.The pack of playful dogs were flown from China to Miami to meet their new families after being rescued from abuse.A spokesperson for Golden Rescue South Florida said the four legged friends would have been butchered and sold as dog meat if they hadn’t have stepped in.Now the pups will be taken in by a loving new home where they will be safe from the dangers they faced before.Local families.
