A youngster who tragically lost her life after she was hit by a Land Rover on Saturday night has today been named as Lily Rose Morris.
The 10-year-old, from Oldham, was described as a 'happy, bubbly and lovely little girl'. The schoolgirl, who attended Hodge Clough Primary School in Oldham, died in hospital yesterday, December 18.
She died after her and another girl were hit by a Land Rover at around 5pm on Saturday night on Coleridge Road, in Sholver. Emergency services raced to the scene and took Lily and her friend to urgent care.
Despite best efforts of medics, 10-year-old Lily passed away. Following the tragic incident, there has been an outpouring of support for Lily's family on social media.
