A terrified Glasgow man claims he woke to find a mouse "scratching at his legs" in an estate residents say is "overrun" with rodents.

Tenants of Copland Quadrant in the Ibrox area are running scared, with vermin spotted in ovens, kitchen cupboards, and crawling out of holes in the floor.The housing scheme, just yards away from Ibrox Stadium, includes a mix of housing association occupants and private owners.

One petrified resident has told how the invasion of the pests has had a negative impact on his "physical and mental health" and has left him embarrassed to invite pals round, Glasgow Live reports.Thomas Burns, who lives at number 7, said: “I have been dealing with mice since the first day I moved into the flat four months ago.

I have even been woken up in the night with a mouse scratching at my legs.“I am struggling to sleep at night for fear of being woken up with more mice in my bed which has had an impact on my physical and mental health.
