A Wallsend mother has criticised a secondary school for barring her 15 year old daughter and other students from attending their prom.
Churchill Community College in North Tyneside informed all Year 11 pupils who have been suspended since November of the previous year that they would not be allowed to join the event.
Kayla Massey expressed her dismay upon learning that her daughter, Faith Robson, was among those excluded from the festivities set to take place at St James' Park in Newcastle on 5 July. Nevertheless, the headteacher of the school maintained that the criteria for attending the prom had been "clearly communicated" to the students, reports Chronicle Live.
