Gabriel Attal, spokesperson for the French government, said France would be taking similar measures to Germany by imposing "obligatory isolation for people who come from the United Kingdom".
He said more information will be released shortly but did not say when the new rules would come into force. It comes after Germany started requiring people arriving from the UK to go into quarantine for 14 days from Sunday.
