Dr. Dre will be front and center on one of the world’s biggest stages when he performs at the 2022 Super Bowl on Feb. 13. The rapper will be joined by some of his closest friends in the industry — Eminem, Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar — for a Halftime Show performance that is sure to be remembered. It’s almost impossible to believe that just 13 months ago, Dre suffered an apparent brain aneurysm that left him hospitalized for nearly two weeks. Dr. Dre, 56, is officially a divorced man after he and his wife Nicole Young finalized their divorce in 2021. Breyon Prescott took to Instagram to commemorate the new chapter of the rapper’s life in Dec. with a photo, which can be seen below, that showed him posing in front of letter balloons that spelled out “DIVORCED AF.” The public figure congratulated the newly single Dre in the caption, indicating they both think it’s a good next step as he leaves his 25 years of marriage with Nicole in the past.

While the condition can be deadly, apparently the doctors were able to stop the brain bleed, as the 55-year-old music mogul took to Instagram later in the evening to give fans his positive prognosis.

Dr. Dre’s 1992 classic The Chronic is finally coming to all digital service providers. The album will be available to stream starting April 20 (via Entertainment One).
