Dancing on Ice star Ria Hebden has revealed that she refused to see her family before taking to the ice while on the programme.Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the Lorraine presenter, 39, explained why she decided to avoid seeing her husband, Mark and her two children, as she needed to "protect her energy" ahead of her performance.Ria was partnered with professional skater Lukasz Rozycki during her stint on the popular ITV show.Speaking about her family's reaction to the news that she'd be starring on the programme, Ria shared how "proud" they were of her.Addressing her husband's reaction, she said: "He is my number one fan, he's like 'just do your thing, enjoy it.'"I know the kids are really proud of me already," she added.However, Ria explained that she had made the decision not to see her children before performing so that she can focus on her routine.The presenter said: "It's wonderful, I just know just having them there in the audience will be so lovely for the children as they're only little."But I'm not going to see any of them before I perform because for me I really need to focus and be calm and quiet and then after we can celebrate."I think when you do something like this you need to protect your energy, you know," she said.Ria shares two children, Noah and Lula, with her husband of 10 years, Mark.The Lorraine star was eliminated from the show during movie week following a skate-off with S-Club star Rachel Stevens and her partner Brendyn Hatfield.The same week, Kimberly Wyatt was awarded a high score of 34 following her routine to The Greatest Show.Taking to social media to address her exit, the star told how she was "proud" of what she had achieved, having previously revealed that she'd had no skating.
