Eye witnesses described seeing a large response, with police, fire crews and paramedics at the scene. Greater Manchester Fire Service said four "casualties" had to be rescued by water crews from Heywood, who happened to be training in the area.Two fire engines, a Technical Response Unit and the Water Incident Unit also attended the scene.
