Premier League and PSG ace Bruno Rodriguez has had his leg amputated due to the effects of his football career. The former Bradford City forward, 49, made just two top-flight appearances for The Bantams on a season-long loan from the Parisian giants in 1999.Retiring from football in 2005, the Frenchman has been in constant pain since hanging up his boots and has finally ended the suffering by opting to remove the lower half of his leg.The news was confirmed by The Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels (UNFP) in a statement on Saturday (March 12).It read: "He was one of the strikers who marked our football from the early 90s to the heart of the 2000s."@UNFP sends strength and courage to Bruno Rodriguez, who had to, after the effects of his football career, resolve to the amputation of a leg by dint of permanent suffering."Spending most of his playing days in his homeland, the Bastia-born striker had spells at Monaco, Strasbourg and Metz before signing for PSG in 1999.Clearly not favoured by manager Philippe Bergeroo, Rodriguez was shipped out on loan to Bradford in September for a loan fee of £500,000.HAVE YOUR SAY!
