President Vladimir Putin has been condemned globally, with sanctions imposed on Russia following the attacks.FIFA have now imposed their restrictions, insisting no international competition shall be played on territory of Russia, with “home” matches being played on neutral territory and without spectators. "First and foremost, FIFA would like to reiterate its condemnation of the use of force by Russia in its invasion of Ukraine," the governing body said in its statement. "Violence is never a solution and FIFA expresses its deepest solidarity to all people affected by what is happening in Ukraine."FIFA calls again for the urgent restoration of peace and for constructive dialogue to commence immediately."FIFA remains in close contact with the Ukrainian Association of Football and members of the Ukrainian football community who have been requesting support to leave the country for as long as the current conflict persists."However, these sanctions may not be enough for Sweden, Poland and Czech Republic, who have all refused to face Russia at any venue in the upcoming World Cup playoffs. The Czech Republic were the last of the trio to announce the plan, explaining all on Sunday morning."The Czech FA executive committee, staff members and players of the national team agreed it’s not possible to play against the Russian national team in the current situation, not even on the neutral venue," the country's FA said."We all want the war to end as soon as possible."Meanwhile, the English FA has confirmed England will not play Russia in any competition for the foreseeable future.
