We all know how much the school holidays cost, so it's a welcome relief when there is any money to be saved. That's perhaps why families are jumping at the chance to get cut price tickets for a popular waterpark 40 minutes from Manchester.
Waterworld is in Stoke-on-Trent and visitors can see the brightly coloured tube slides sticking out of the place as they approach it.
The place underwent a massive £10m expansion in 2019, adding four 'white-knuckle rides' to the attraction, but it fell under many people's radar because of the pandemic that swiftly followed. Then there's Hurricane, a feet first slide with special stripy lighting effects; Cyclone, where you sit in a rubber ring and are propelled into a shuttle of turbulent water, before shooting out into a spiralling dome; and the park's longest ride, Stormchaser, which intersperses dark black holes with more lighting effects.
