Falkirk's 'Tidy, Green and Clean' campaign is set to launch this weekend with a range of family-friendly environmental activities.
Saturday will be a canoe canal clean up day which will begin from the Falkirk Wheel at and end at the town's Lock 16.At noon on Sunday, litter pickers can gather in the old Brown Street Park in Camelon before joining tree planters at 1pm.Volunteers will also be joined by McDonald's staff from Glasgow Road who will show their commitment to a litter-free environment.Both Falkirk MP John McNally and Falkirk Council leader Cecil Meiklejohn will be in attendance during the weekend.It is being run by the Our Place Camelon and Tamfourhill community group who were established five years ago and have hosted a number of.
