Everyone's raving about Normal People's Comic Relief skit for the same reason

Normal People fans were sent into a frenzy when the BBC show returned for an Irish Comic Relief special last night. In one of two special episodes, Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones teamed up with the Irish priest from Fleabag, Andrew Scott.

Paul, who plays Connell, and Daisy (Marianne) entered a confession box only to find each other confessing to the same priest.

The sketch ended after broke into a hilarious rendition of Tracy Chapman's Baby Can I Hold You. Paul performed a breathtaking rendition of the song - prompting stunned fans to praise him on Twitter.

One fan gushed: "Connell got together for a skit on RTE Comic Relief and it was just jaw-droppingly brilliant." Another said: "This is the crossover we all needed. @mescal_paul
