SpaceX, which has just spent millions launching a fresh round of satellites into space after a storm knocked out 40 of its Starlink units.A geomagnetic storm caused by solar radiation reportedly took out a big batch of SpaceX's Starlink satellites.

40 of the 49 satellites launched in February were hit by a blast of solar particles which means they will have to fall back to Earth.Luckily SpaceX has been able to launch 48 new units up to space today to make up for the losses.

Sharing a video of the launch, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk confirmed that "another 48 Starlinks just reached orbit."The launch follows a bumper week for Starlink after Musk offered to activate Starlink, SpaceX's superfast space broadband, in Ukraine to ensure that people still had Internet access.Musk claimed last week that "Starlink is the only non-Russian communications system still working in some parts of Ukraine, so probability of being targeted is high.

Please use with caution."The offer came after the government of Ukraine pleaded with Musk to help out. In a nutshell, Starlink is an ambitious attempt to build a global network of satellites capable of providing high-speed Internet to everyone, everywhere on the planet.
