Van Halen co-founder's death on Oct. 6, his death certificate shows he was cremated and his ashes were sent to his son, musician Wolfgang Van Halen, who played bass in his dad's band for many years.Sources tell TMZ Wolfgang, 29, will honor Eddie's wish to have his ashes scattered in the Pacific Ocean in Malibu.The death certificate also lists Eddie's immediate cause of death as a stroke and cites other health issues, including skin cancer on his head and neck, TMZ reports.Known for his super-fast and agile finger tapping technique, his classical music influences and his athletic performances, Eddie's pioneering guitar work arguably changed the role of the instrument in rock bands for decades to come.
