Most excitingly, EastEnders viewers were treated to a special cameo from Prince Charles and Camilla who casually popped to Walford to celebrate alongside Albert Square residents including Sharon Watts, Mick Carter and Martin Fowler.The exciting cameo was filmed all the way back in March earlier this year, when the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall made a trip to visit the set.They went to Elstree, where EastEnders is filmed and met members of the cast.While they were there, the two filmed their exciting cameo appearance ahead of the Jubilee bank holiday weekend kicking off on Friday 3 June.The hour-long episode is expected to air on Thursday 2 June in which Mick Carter will throw a Jubilee bash for residents.Everyone on Albert Square will participate in the street party, to celebrate the Queen’s momentous occasion.Residents were left in utter shock as the two Royal guests emerge as a surprise.
In the episode, the couple were greeted by Mick and Linda Carter.Speaking to the BBC, Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter said: “They have never done anything like this before.
They didn’t know what to expect!”She went on to say: “I just hope that they enjoyed it as much as we did.” During the special visit, Camilla told actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, that she voted for her when she starred on Strictly Come Dancing.
