Eamonn Holmes looked well on the road to recovery as he relaxed over the bank holiday in Scotland following a tough few months suffering chronic pain from a dislocated pelvis.

Wearing a blue V neck jumper in a nod to the Scottish flag, the veteran telly presenter looked relaxed on the golf course and later outside Ayrshire poet's Robert Burns' cottage with his crutch in full view.

He could also been seen wearing a mask in one photo, complying with the country's Covid regulations. Taking to Twitter to share his story the TV host told his 1 million followers, he wrote: "Determined to still get around.
