Scotland has recorded a weekend spike in the number of Covid patients being treated in hospitals across the country.Figures published by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland today show 158 people are currently being treated for the virus in the nation's hospitals compared to 128 on Friday.The rise comes as a further 1,250 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Scotland in the last 24 hours – including 112 in Ayrshire.Public Health Scotland say the national figure is lower than expected due to a data flow issue in NHS Grampian over the weekend.They organisation say the problem has been resolved and will be reflected in tomorrow’s figures.No new deaths were recorded overnight meaning Scotland's death toll from the virus.
