E-scooters can be rented from Salford's streets next month – here's how
manchestereveningnews.co.ukE-scooters will be available to rent from Salford's streets starting next month.The electric scooters, which are widespread in other European cities such as Paris, Berlin and Rome, will be coming to Salford as part of a year-long trial.Up to 300 scooters are expected to be available over the next 12 months.But the e-scooters can only be used within certain zones during the trial.The trial will begin at the University of Salford's Peel Park and Frederick Road campuses from mid-October, before being expanded to connect these sites to MediaCityUK in Salford Quays via a single route by the end of the month.Phase three will see the trial zone expanded to Ordsall and the city centre in Salford with the aim of launching this wider zone by the end.
