Drivers are facing queues of more than six miles this afternoon after a car fire on the M6 southbound near Wigan which left a motorist 'shaken'.
Firefighters and traffic officers are on the scene between junctions 27 at Standish and 26 for the Orrell interchange. Two lanes were closed approaching the fire from around 2pm today (November 14), with one lane since reopening.
