Liverpool's record signing should they agree a deal with Benfica during the summer transfer window - but that won't necessarily be reflected in his new wage packet.

The 22-year-old has caught the eye of the Premier League giants by smashing home 34 goals in all competitions last season including two against his potential new side in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

However, the Uruguay international's form might not be rewarded with a huge weekly wage package, with the terms of his five-year agreement said to be substantially lower than Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain despite their recent struggles.Portuguese journalist Pedro Sepulveda reports that Nunez will be earning approximately £98.6k a week in his new deal at Liverpool, which runs across five years.
