Darwin Nunez could sign for Liverpool as soon as today, claim reports. The Uruguayan forward looks set to join the Anfield club as a replacement for wantaway star Sadio Mane.
And it has now emerged that Nunez could miss Uruguay's friendly with Panama on Saturday evening in order to wrap up a move to Jurgen Klopp's side.
That is according to Uruguayan journalist Diego Jokas, who wrote on Twitter: "Darwin Nunez would not be in Uruguay tomorrow [Saturday] and the intention is that he will travel in the next few hours to be able to sign with LFC for 80 million Euros plus 20 in bonuses."Liverpool's move for Nunez looks increasingly close to completion just one day after Portuguese outlet O Jogo reported that Benfica had accepted a bid worth around £85million for the star.
