Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with Benfica star Darwin Nunez ahead of a blockbuster summer switch that would see the 22-year-old become the most expensive signing in their history.
Club chiefs entered talks over a move for the Uruguay international earlier this week and are said to have moved a step closer to securing an all important signature after reaching an agreement over contract details.
Nunez smashed home 34 goals across 41 fixtures in all competitions last season, catching the eye of Champions League finalists Liverpool by netting twice against them earlier in the quarter-final stages of the competition.
The Athletic report that personal terms between Liverpool and Nunez have been agreed, with securing a signature the next step for the Premier League challengers.
