Darts fans have thrown their support behind James Wade after The Machine opened up about his recent illness ordeal.The world number five pulled out of a tournament in Germany earlier this month and was sent to hospital after suffering from chest pains, a high heart rate and blood pressure, plus stomach pain, nausea and dizziness.After three days in a Leverkusen hospital, Wade was eventually allowed to return home to be with his pregnant wife and young son.
After missing last week’s Premier League action in Sheffield, Wade returns to the oche tonight when the darting roadshow makes his annual stop at London’s O2.
Ahead of his quarter-final against Peter Wright, Wade has opened up about his health scare in an exclusive new column for Daily Star Sport.
In it, he admitted he needed to focus on his health and cut back on his schedule, both for his own well-being and for the sake of his young family.
