punter scooped a colossal £300,000 windfall after correctly predicting the result of every race on day four at Royal Ascot. For most bettors, it's hard enough to find the winner of one race at the famous meeting.

But a William Hill customer managed to go through the entire card, nailing the first horse home in each of the track's seven races on Friday afternoon.

The unnamed punter scooped a regal total of £307,464.02 from a £2.50 each-way accumulator at total odds of 122,889/1. Needless to say, William Hill doffed their cap - or rather, their top hat - to the successful racing fan.

Tony Kenny, William Hill spokesperson, said: "Many of our customers try going through the card at the bigger meetings like Royal Ascot or Cheltenham but few manage it."However, one pulled off the incredible feat of successfully choosing all seven winners on the penultimate day of the royal meeting a a frankly ridiculous price of 122,889-1."The winning punter went against the grain in the opening race of the afternoon by correcting predicting that 5/2 shot Mediate would usurp 2/1 favourite Mawj in the Albany Stakes. What's the biggest price winner you've ever had on the horses?
