Los Angeles singer and songwriter Watson is still in need of some serious company with his “Dance Alone” follow-up single “Kitty Kitty,” available exclusively on Billboard today (May 28).
The song is admittedly inspired by a bout of celibacy that the rapper and singer, born Travis Galatte, says lasted “not a very long time, but it felt like a long time” and weighed heavily on him during a session to christen a new studio with featured producers Sakai and Sean Chapman.
The team cooks up a murkily charged head-thumper that veers from a dark pop and hip-hop structure to outright alt rock thanks to Watson’s grimey yet expressive delivery and Chapman’s lingering guitar melody.
