Tom Hardy had a frosty relationship on the set of Mad Max: Fury Road which saw them screaming at each other in front of cast and crew and made he feel unsafe.A new book Blood, Sweat & Chrome: The Wild And True Story Of Mad Max: Fury Road by New York Times columnist Kyle Buchanan claims Theron branded Hardy a 'f**king c***' after he turned up on set hours late.
Theron, who played villain Imperator Furiosa, claims she had a female producer to be with her at all times as "protection" against Hardy, 44, who played the lead character in the 2015 blockbuster.
Natascha Hopkins, a stunt double on Fury Road, told in the book how Theron didn't want to waste time on set because she was a new mother at the time and was balancing her role with parenting.Cameraman Mark Goellnicht claimed Hardy was often late for the start of shooting.He said Theron, 46, arrived on set at 8pm and had her makeup and costume done, before getting into the film's War Rig.
He claimed producers made a "special request" for Hardy to show up for filming in time but he often turned up hours late."Gets to nine o’clock, still no Tom," Goellnicht said. '“Charlize, do you want to get out of the War Rig and walk around, or do you want to . . .”, 'No, I’m going to stay here'."She was really going to make a point.
