Lawrence told the BBC: "I took a Tupperware box containing my baby's remains home from hospital in a taxi, cleared up some space in our fridge and put the box in there." Greenwich and Lewisham NHS Trust say a full investigation is now under way.Laura and Lawrence's heartbreak began when at almost four months into their pregnancy, Laura began bleeding profusely, but after going to University Hospital Lewisham, they were told their baby still had a heartbeat and all was well. But after another scan just days later, doctors told the couple that their baby had died. They were sent home and told to wait for a bed for Laura to come back and give birth their dead baby. Two days later, Laura woke up in agony and rushed to her bathroom. She removed what had fallen into the toilet after realising it was the remains of her baby and said it was then she "saw it was a boy."In utter panic, she ran out and told Lawrence: "Don't go in there." They called 999 but were told it was not an emergency so they wrapped the infant in a wet cloth, put him in a box and took him to A&E.Laura said: "We were put in the general waiting room and told to sit at the back."I was there holding my baby in a tupperware box, crying, with 20 or 30 other people in that waiting room."Laura was told she needed surgery to remove the placenta meanwhile the baby remained in the box.For the latest breaking news stories and incredible tales from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here."Nobody would even open the box and look at our baby," said Laura."It was almost as though no-one wanted to acknowledge it.
