Coronation Street actress Rula Lenska has blasted the soap’s young stars for not having enough respect for their elders on set.
The 72-year-old, who played Ken Barlow’s girlfriend Claudia Colby, says the new generation should be asking for acting advice.But instead, Rula reckons they’re know-it-alls and “have a completely different attitude” to when her generation was young.Rula said: “Without meaning to sound up one’s own rear end, I remember as a young actor being completely grateful for any sort of comment made to me by an older, more experienced actor.“Whether it was ‘Yes, that was great’ or ‘Try this’ or ‘Do a bit more of this’ or ‘Do a bit less of this’.“They are not terribly good at taking advice or helpful suggestions.
