Community support for village pub facing licence review after lockdown breach

Documents published by Bolton Council state police officers went to the Unity Brook Inn, Manchester Road, Kearsley on November 6, 2020 after reports to the council from concerned members of the public saying that people were being permitted to drink there.

At that time licensed premises were forbidden from opening under government restrictions. A police report stated that officers found 'the premises were open and carrying on the business of a public house'.
