Chris Kamara has bravely opened up about suffering from a speech disorder after he appeared to slur his words on Soccer Saturday.The jovial broadcaster was reporting on Rotherham United’s 3-0 League One defeat to Shrewsbury Town when he struggled with his speech.
Fans then took to social media to voice their concern and ask the legendary reporter about his well-being.Kamara, who has been with Sky Sports for nearly 30 years, later addressed the incident by revealing it was down to a speech problem he has developed.
The 64-year-old said it occurred as a result of his well-known thyroid problem, which he vowed to fight.He wrote on Twitter: “Just wanted to let a few of you know who tweeted me today that I am ok ish.
Alongside my Thyroid problem I have developed Apraxia of Speech & have been working to get my speech back to normal. Some days it can be a little slow and some days it’s normal.
